Betterhood continues encouraging discussions with Near East Side residents and organizations

The Betterhood team is thankful for the encouraging dialogue we’ve recently had with residents and community groups on the Near East Side of Columbus!

To welcome the new possibilities that come with a new decade, the Betterhood team presented to the Columbus Urban League Young Professionals (CULYP) on Wednesday, January 8. The presentation allowed us to share the Entrepreneurial Housing project with an ambitious collective of young professionals and answer some very insightful questions. We gained invaluable feedback from this meeting and know that this is just the beginning of a healthy dialog with the Near East Side community.  Entrepreneurial Housing will be for them and by them!

In addition to the CUL, we also continue to work with the community development organization Partners Achieving Community Transformation (PACT) and Near East Side stakeholders.

We will continue working with the CUL, PACT, other organizations and the Near East Side’s residents to earn the support of the community and beyond. At its heart, this is very local project rooted in community and that’s how we intend to carry out this process.

In the meantime, we encourage you to view the presentation deck that was presented to CULYP in January!
